Last Lesson

Image
On Monday the 3rd of May it was the last Visual Arts Lesson. For the activity today, we had to get a A4 picture of our faces from the teachers. We then had to collect pictures of our classmates from the back of the class. We then cut out a picture of a lip (for example)and then stick it on the picture of your lip with double-sided sticky tape. It then gave the effect of it looking 3D. I decided to use Shaneece's nose, Jo's eye's and mouth. I then coloured my hair in brown and drew a purple bow on my fringe using oil pastels. They all turned out really funny and makes me laugh when I look at them (in a good way!)

Landscape Lesson

Today we learnt all about landscapes and there different elements. In partners, we were given a fact sheet about a landscape artist, and we then had to match up the painting at the front of the classroom with the fact sheet. After that, we had to look at it and share with the class what different types of elemnts there were. I can't remember our painting, but it had colour, line, and tone. Here are some example of landscape drawings: After that part of the lesson, we had to finish off our landscape drawings of Pipemakers Park. I chose to do it on a larger piece of paper. We were given pencils and oil pastels for colour. We did that for the rest of the lesson, and I finished mine. I am really happy with the finished product.

Landscape Art

During the Pipemakers Park excursion, we had to draw a landscape picture. We were first given pictures of different types of landscapes, and the name and year of the painting. In groups, we had to share what we thought of the painting, and what it meant. We were then given pencils and paper and told to find a landscape you wanted to draw. I decided to draw the view across from me. It was a picture of the river, the bank, the trees, and the houses and field in the distance. I found it fun to just be able to sketch what ever I wanted,a s long as it was a landscape picture. I only had enough time to draw the layout and a few of the larger details, and then, in the next visual art class, we would add colour and finish them off.
